Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Daisy Mae: Daisy Mae came in with her litter as a welfare case about a month ago. While they had several medical issues, they’re now healthy and ready to go to homes! Daisy Mae and her littermates are 11 weeks old and will be a medium-sized hound mix when grown. She’s very affectionate, so loves to cuddle and be held.

Meet Medusa: Medusa is a 2-year-old, female domestic short-haired cat. She’s up to date on all of her shots, and although she’s only been in the shelter for a week, she’s already a staff favorite! Medusa is sweet and affectionate; she loves people and gets along well with other cats. She’s also playful for her age!
