Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Arkansas State volleyball (22-8, 12-4 SBC) returns to the NCAA Volleyball Championship Tournament for the first time since 2015 and the sixth time in program history on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 3:30 p.m. (CT) versus No. 6 seed Baylor.
The Red Wolves and Bears have faced off five times dating back to 1979, with the latter claiming all meetings. The programs last met on September 7, 2012, at the McNeese State Tournament in Lake Charles, La.
The winner of the match, scheduled to take place in West Lafayette, Indiana, will face No. 3 seed Purdue or Wright State in the second round on Dec. 5. The Red Wolves defeated James Madison 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 25-20, 25-21) on Nov. 23 to capture the program’s seventh Sun Belt Tournament Championship.
