Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Arkansas State University is bringing the Red Wolves community together for a powerful day of generosity on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2, with a campuswide focus on supporting students through the Student Emergency Fund and uplifting key university initiatives.
The centerpiece of this year’s effort is the Student Emergency Fund, which provides immediate, short-term assistance to students experiencing unexpected financial hardship. Led in part by the A-State Student Philanthropy Council, the fund helps students stay enrolled and focused on their academic goals when unplanned expenses threaten to disrupt their education.
Every dollar donated to the Student Emergency Fund goes directly to A-State students in need. Donors making a $25 gift or more will receive a Comfort Colors “Back the Pack” T-shirt, and all donors – regardless of the amount – will receive a ticket to the A-State vs. UT Arlington men’s basketball game on Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. at First National Bank Arena.
Throughout the day, the Student Philanthropy Council will lead outreach efforts with fellow students, sharing stories of impact and encouraging peers to get involved.
Gifts supporting the Student Emergency Fund may be made throughout the day online.
Giving Tuesday, held annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, has become one of the most significant philanthropic days for A-State. This year’s efforts reflect the spirit of community that defines the Red Wolves family.
