Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – April 15, 2024 – Valley View EAST students Carter Whitehead and Riley Page are making waves in their community with a groundbreaking project aimed at enhancing access to food assistance resources. As part of their EAST (Education Accelerated by Service and Technology) initiative, Whitehead and Page have collaborated on a unique mapping project in partnership with the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.
Bridging the gap between individuals in need of food assistance and accessible transportation options, Whitehead and Page have developed a comprehensive map that not only highlights the locations of Craighead County Food Pantries but also identifies the closest Jets Bus Stops related to them.
“We are incredibly impressed by the initiative and dedication shown by Carter Whitehead and Riley Page,” remarked Rebecca Hendrix, Chief Development Officer at the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.
The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas is grateful for the hard work of Carter Whitehead and Riley Page and their EAST facilitator, Elisa Kifer.
