Thomas Arthur Cooper, 82, of Pocahontas passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
He was born August 2, 1941, in Pocahontas to the late Clay Henderson Cooper and Leora Elizabeth Stayton Cooper. He was former restaurant owner and member of Pyburn Street Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay Henderson Cooper and Leora Elizabeth Cooper Penn and an infant son, David Jason.
Tom is survived by former wife, Vera Dawn Cooper; son, Steven Cooper and two grandchildren; also, fellow members of Pyburn Street Church of Christ who Tom considered his extended family. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ronald Penn, Mike Dunn, Jimmy Lewis, Joe Stayton, Leon Stayton and Wayne Broadway.
Honorary pallbearers are Bob Cook, Joe Romine, Byron Futrell, Tommy Blansett, and Danny Swann.
