Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — July 25, 2025 — Police arrested a Jonesboro man after they said their neighbors faced several threats from him during an argument over loud noises, including threatening to rape their child.
According to an affidavit, on July 24, Jonesboro police officers responded to an apartment in the 1300 block of Rainwood Drive, where the victims told them that their neighbor, 40-year-old Kendrick Lanier Holland, threatened to kill them.
The victims said someone next door began beating on the walls and disturbing them, and when they went next door to ask them to stop, Holland met them, who began arguing with the victims.
The affidavit said during the argument, Holland threatened to kill them by slitting their throats and continued to threaten to kill them “in non-specific ways.” The victims said Holland also threatened to rape their child. Officers took Holland into custody without incident.
Craighead County Judge David Boling found probable cause July 25 to charge Holland with first-degree terroristic threatening. Holland was given a $75,000 cash/surety bond and ordered to have no contact with the victims.
Holland is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center, awaiting his next scheduled court appearance on Sept. 30.
