Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — July 7, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Orbit: Orbit is a 5-year-old female mix. She came in with “a pack” three weeks ago, and she is definitely their benevolent leader! She’s up to date on vaccines, and while she’s heartworm positive, she’s starting treatment this week. She’s 60 lbs. and is very sweet and playful.
Meet Sinbad: Sinbad came in as a welfare case from Manila Animal Control. He’s only 11 weeks old and has been in the shelter for five of those weeks. He’s a domestic shorthair and is up to date on all of his vaccines and preventatives. He’s a playful little guy and ready for his furever home!
