Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 30, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Marilyn: Marilyn (as in Marilyn Monroe) is a curvy blonde female who’s been in the shelter for 11 weeks. She’s two years, two months old, up to date on all of her vaccines and preventatives and is heartworm negative. She’s a medium-sized mix who loves people of all ages, and she’s ready for her furever home!

Meet G-Unit: G-Unit was brought in by a good Samaritan about three weeks ago. His gums had been knocked loose, and he had a very bad cold. Jonesboro Family Pet Hospital fixed him up on the former, and he’s now recovered from the latter. He’s 11 weeks old, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and very playful and affectionate now that he’s feeling better.
