Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 23, 2025 — Police arrested a Jonesboro man after they said he was caught on camera picking up a suspect in a shooting that left someone injured.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on April 21, Jonesboro police officers responded to a shooting near Melrose Street and Word Avenue. There, they found a man with three gunshot wounds to his lower body.

Investigators soon identified a suspect connected to the incident by observing footage from city cameras. In it, the suspect could be seen entering the back of a building in the 1800 block of Cedar Heights Drive. Moments later, the cameras showed the suspect being picked up by a vehicle in the front.

“The video evidence showed a Black male entering the driver’s seat, crossing the street, collecting the suspect, and then driving away from the location,” the affidavit said.

The man was later identified by the owner of the vehicle as 25-year-old Kendrayle Demarcus Woods.

Woods was arrested May 22 and taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

On May 23, Circuit Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause to charge Woods with hindering apprehension or prosecution. He was given a $25,000 cash/surety bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 27.

The man accused of shooting the victim, 29-year-old Brandon Williams, was arrested May 13. He’s being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash or surety bond and charged with one count of criminal attempt for first-degree murder, one count of possession of a firearm by a certain person and a misdemeanor marijuana charge.
