According to the cooperative’s outage map, power has been restored at all meters in its service area.
UPDATE 2:04 P.M.:
The Craighead County Electric Cooperative is working to replace 24 broken power poles, with most of the damage around Lunsford and Caraway, it said in a Facebook post.
It added that there were still 147 meters without power, but that it was “making progress and doing everything we can to get the lights back on.”

Craighead County, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 16, 2025 — Communities in Craighead County are reporting damage after severe storms blew through the area Friday morning.
According to Jonesboro E-911 dispatch, several power poles and lines are down in Lake City, Caraway and Monette.
In Lake City, power poles are reported down near CR 817, CR 812, and CR 815. In Caraway, dispatch reported they were down near CR 576, and in Monette, said power lines were down near CR 518. Highway 139 in Caraway and Monette is also reported to have downed power lines.
Motorists are urged to use caution in these areas.
Additionally, Craighead Electric Cooperative reported this morning that several customers were without power due to weather. In a Facebook post, it said it was working to make repairs on a larger outage off Highway 91 around Egypt. This outage affected around 230 meters.
According to the Cooperative’s outage map, around 203 outages have been confirmed near Caraway, while 144 have been confirmed in the Lake City area. In the Bay area, 48 outages have been verified.
Northeast Arkansas remains under threat of severe weather for the remainder of the day. More storms are expected to hit the area this afternoon and evening.
