Brookland, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — May 9, 2025 — A Brookland man is being held on a $1 million bond after police said he raped an underage victim on multiple occasions.
According to an affidavit, on May 8, Officer Josh Whitley responded to a potential sexual assault involving a child. Upon arrival, a “highly agitated” man approached the officer, claiming his son, 20-year-old Dustin Orr, had sexually assaulted the child after discovering several used pregnancy tests in the bathroom and confronting the victim about it, the affidavit said.
The victim told police that Orr had been sexually assaulting them for two years and had taken multiple pregnancy tests “out of fear of being pregnant,” the affidavit said, adding that the tests came back negative.
In a mirandized interview, Orr admitted to Whitley to having what he believed was consensual sex with the victim on multiple occasions, the affidavit said.
On May 9, Craighead County Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Orr with three counts of rape (person less than 14 years of age) and one count of fourth-degree sexual assault.
Boling ordered that upon release, Orr must not have any contact with the victim or any minors under 18, have no access to the internet, and he must wear an ankle GPS monitor. Bail was set at $1 million cash or surety.
Orr is scheduled to be back in court on June 27. He’s being held in the Craighead County Detention Center.
