Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 28, 2025 — A Jonesboro man accused of stabbing a female victim “multiple times” was given a $100,000 bond on Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Jonesboro police officers responded to NEA Hospital on April 26 regarding a female victim with multiple stab wounds. Officers determined that the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Henvonta Davis, was at the hospital with the victim. He was taken into custody.
While speaking with officers at the hospital, the victim said she’d been in an argument with Davis, and he then stabbed her multiple times, according to the affidavit. Officers also spoke with a witness, who told officers the victim had come running to her home for help.
According to the affidavit, Davis followed the victim. The victim then began walking back to her apartment, but then started walking back toward the witness. Davis reportedly ran up behind the victim and appeared to be hitting the victim in the shoulder and back, the witness said.
The witness then told officers she’d seen “lots of blood,” and then the victim ran back into her apartment. The witness told officers that Davis must have dropped the knife, since she saw him lean over and pick it up. The witness convinced Davis to hand over the knife, the affidavit said.
Another neighbor gave both Davis and the victim a ride to the hospital, during which Davis kept telling the victim he was sorry, the affidavit said.
According to the affidavit, the victim had six stab wounds to the right side of her body. There’s no word on her condition.
Davis is charged with one count of 1st degree domestic battery with serious physical injury. He was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond. Conditions of the bond include a no-contact order with the victim and wearing a GPS ankle monitor.
His next court date is June 27. Davis is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center.
