Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 14, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Scooter: Scooter is a 1-year, 2-month-old cat; he’s a domestic short hair brown tabby who’s been in the shelter for 10 weeks. He’s up to date on his vaccines and preventatives. He’s playful and affectionate and currently lives in Lisa T’s office.
Meet Sister: Sister is a 2-year, 9-month-old dog; she’s been in the shelter for five days and is up to date on her vaccines and preventatives. She came in heartworm positive but is going to be treated by the shelter vet staff. Weighing 36 lbs., she is a black, medium-sized mix and so is one of our only “littles.”
