Paragould, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 11, 2025 — The band Odicity will be presenting Tunes for Twisters, a free outdoor event benefitting northeast Arkansas communities affected by tornadoes, such as Lake City, Monette and Paragould.

The event, taking place April 12, will feature outdoor concerts from noon to 9 p.m. at the corner of Pruitt and Court Streets in downtown Paragould. Admission is free, however, fundraising donations will be accepted.

Event coordinator and Odicity drummer Brian Hutton said he and Main Street Paragould executive director Miranda Reynolds came up with the idea for Tunes for Twisters.

“We are trying to help as many people as we can because we know how a lot of people don’t have insurance or it’s not going to be enough to cover this or that,” Hutton said. “It’s to help one another out, to have everybody come together as communities and to help rebuild for people the stuff that they lost. We’re just trying to brighten everybody’s day.”

Hutton said his band will not be playing; however, the event will feature Marybeth Byrd as the headliner. Byrd is an Arkansas State University graduate and reached the Top 8 of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2019 and made the Top 10 on ABC’s “American Idol” in 2023. She is from Armorel, AR, with roots in county, Christian and pop music.

The concert lineup will be as follows:

  • Next Step Gospel Band from 12:30-1:15 p.m.
  • Bryan Keith Wood and Wyatt Bolding from 1:30-2:15 p.m.
  • Seraph from 2:30-3:15 p.m.
  • Hank Nightshade from 3:30-4:15 p.m.
  • Joe Bateman from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
  • Judah Dean from 5:45-645 p.m.
  • Marybeth Byrd from 7:00-8:00 pm.

Hutton noted that there will be a silent auction and a raffle from noon to 8 p.m., as well as a bake sale from noon to 9 p.m or until everything has sold. The raffle will feature a recliner from Gamble Home Furniture.

He also noted the donation table, where people can donate cash, check or via QR codes through PayPal and Cash App. Donations can also be made via the Tunes for Twisters Facebook page. In addition, Something Sweet and MJ’s Southern Chic will accepting donations until April 19.

“If somebody needs help because the tornado took their house or something, they can also grab an application to fill out at the table as well,” Hutton said.

This event will also feature facepainting painting and banner painting for kids, the Easter Bunny and more.

“The Easter bunny will be playing a little bit of music as well,” Hutton said, noting that the Easter Bunny will be showing off his musical talents on guitar and drums. “It’s going to be a little fun time and pictures with the Easter Bunny and then we’re going to hand out candy-filled eggs.”

“I’m so appreciative of everybody coming together to help. I mean it is amazing. It really is it. It’s beautiful,” Hutton said. “I’m loving being a big part of this and running this. It’s amazing.”
