Highway 226 near Cash closed due to flooding

Cash, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 9, 2025 — Highway 226 between Cash and Interstate 57 is closed due to flooding.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation, all four lanes are closed due to high water levels near the Cache River. The closure is just over three miles long. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

ARDOT officially reported the road closed at 7:40 p.m.

If needing to travel to Little Rock from Jonesboro, take Highway 49 to Waldenburg, then head west on Highway 14.

There’s currently no word on when the road will reopen.
