Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 7, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Clara Allen: Clara is a 1-year 1-month-old female domestic shorthair cat. She’s a grey tabby and has been in the shelter for four weeks. She’s already been spayed and microchipped, and she’s ready for her new home.
Meet Duck: Duck is a 4-year, 2-month-old hound mix. He’s been in the shelter for 11 weeks and weighs 78 lbs. He came into the shelter heartworm positive, but he’s already started treatment. Duck is friendly and sweet and a staff favorite.
