Bono, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 17, 2025 — A Bono man is accused of stabbing a woman in the neck over the weekend.

On March 16, deputies with the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office were called to County Road 113, where witnesses on scene said 38-year-old Henry Ndichu stabbed a woman in the neck. Ndichu was taken into custody, and the woman, who is Ndichu’s mother-in-law, was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center.

While officers were interviewing Ndichu, he said he and the woman had been arguing and that he had a knife and blood on his right hand. Ndichu added he’d already hurt the woman, the probable cause affidavit said.

When an officer asked Ndichu how the woman got hurt, he said he “thought he stabbed her,” the affidavit said.

Ndichu is charged with one count of criminal attempt to commit 1st degree murder. He was given a $100,000 cash or surety bond.

If Ndichu makes bond, he must wear a GPS ankle monitor. The probable cause affidavit noted he has an expired visa and must turn in his passport before release. His next court date is April 24 and he’s being held in the Craighead County Detention Center.

There’s no word on the condition of the injured woman.
