UPDATE 12:58 A.M:

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for southeastern Greene County, eastern Craighead County, northwestern Mississippi County and southern Dunklin County. The warning goes until 1:45 a.m.

UPDATE 12:50 A.M:

At 12:41 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Jonesboro, moving northeast at 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 12:10 A.M:

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning going to 1 a.m. At 12:08 a.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Algoa, or 10 miles south of Newport, moving northeast at 50 mph.

UPDATE 12 A.M:

At 11:50 p.m., a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located near Egypt, or 12 miles southwest of Bono, moving northeast at 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATE 11:54 P.M:

At 11:39 p.m., a confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado was located near Swifton, or 11 miles northeast of Newport, moving northeast at 55 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Craighead County, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 14, 2025 — A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Craighead County.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for parts of Craighead and Poinsett County at 11:29 p.m.

According to the NWS, affected locations include Egypt, Jonesboro, Cash, Craighead Forest Park, Valley View, and more.

“You are in a life-threatening situation, flying debris may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Considerable damage to homes, businesses, and vehicles is likely and complete destruction is possible,” the NWS said.

“A large, extremely dangerous and potentially dangerous tornado is on the ground. To protect your life, take cover now,” the NWS added.

Take shelter now. Move to the lowest level or most interior part of your home.
