Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 15, 2025 – A West Plains, MO, man is facing multiple charges after reportedly leading police on a high-speed chase through Jonesboro with a 10-month-old child in his vehicle.
On Feb. 24, Trooper Nash Thomas was notified that the Jonesboro Police Department was pursuing a white truck driven by 35-year-old Nathan Graves, who had taken a child. Thomas took over the pursuit at Johnson and Red Wolf, where Graves was driving recklessly at speeds of 85 mph, running red lights, and using the shoulder to navigate heavy traffic, the probable cause affidavit said.
The chase ended on Nelms Street after Graves crashed into a power pole and got stuck in a ditch. He then reportedly fled on foot, leaving the child behind in the vehicle. He was apprehended by Jonesboro officers, who found multiple Alprazolam pills in his possession.
Graves faces several charges: fleeing in a vehicle, endangering the welfare of a minor and reckless driving. His bond is set at $15,000, and he has to wear an ankle monitor. His court date is scheduled for March 20.
