Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 12, 2025 — Several downtown Jonesboro businesses will be coming together for a festive weekend during SpringFest 2025: ShamRockn’ Downtown.

The three-day event begins Saturday, March 15, and continues through Monday, March 17 in downtown Jonesboro.

Brickhouse Grill owner Dan Johnson said SpringFest will act as a “micro-fest,” which he said are held more frequently, more manageable in terms of time and resources and will draw people from outside Jonesboro to the area more often.

“We are blessed with great locally owned and operated restaurants and bars, wonderful entertainment options seven days a week, vibrant unique retail opportunities and more, all within the convenience of a few walking blocks,” Johnson said. “SpringFest 2025: Shamrockn D’Town is the first step toward establishing these types of family friendly boutique events with increased frequency.”

There are numerous events planned for the festival, including the return of the ShamRock Shuffle, a one-mile downtown fun-run sponsored by Gearhead Outfitters and Brickhouse Grill. There will also be a petting zoo with baby kangaroos and the Bagpipe Brigade will be marching and barhopping.

The 200 block of Main Street will be blocked off from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. for Saturday’s festivities only. There will be no other closures on Sunday or Monday.

“Since we are located in an entertainment district, we can sell alcohol to the street for open consumption,” Johnson said. “There are six restaurants and bars on the 200 block of downtown and we’ll be doing ‘Tables on Main’ outdoor service, weather permitting.”

The Arkansas State University Pep Band, retail vendors and more will line Main Street. Saturday’s festivities will culminate in the SpringFest Rock and Roll concert, which features Hank Nightshade and the Midnight Sons, and Starroy. The concert will take place inside Brickhouse’s venue.

He also noted that if the weather doesn’t cooperate, he’d be willing and able to move most retail vendors inside if need be. Booths for retail vendors are still open, with the booth fee being $125.

Then, Huntington Square will be celebrating its second anniversary on Sunday as SpringFest 2025 focuses on Huntington Square, which will be celebrating its second anniversary.

“They will have a number of activities and entertainment options,” Johnson said.

Monday will be SpringFest 2025’s grand finale.

“A real St. Patty’s Day Party on the real St Patty’s Day, featuring a crazy cool three band line up concert inside The Venue at Brickhouse,” Johnson said. “REC opens up, followed by Bloodhound, with local faves Greasy Tree headlining.

Downtown Jonesboro Alliance (DJA) executive director Sarah Doss said that not only will Monday be a full day of live music at Brickhouse, but there will also be lots of holiday-themed foods and beverages at participating downtown restaurants as well.

“It will be a full day of celebration. I think that it’s going to be a really good one too,” she said, noting the collaborative effort that went into the new festival.

“Once we started it, the collaborative effort continued to grow,” Doss said. “Dan and Casey at Brickhouse, who is spearheading it, were great to just add people in, roll with the punches, and continue. It’s growing to be something really big that we’re excited about. It’s going to be a full weekend of fun.”

While the DJA has historically hosted a Spring Fest event, Doss noted these two events are completely different. She added that the DJA’s Spring Fest event was put on hold last year.

“This will be our spring event now… It’s more of a collaborative option,” she said. “So, it didn’t necessarily take the place of that one. It just happens to have a similar name.”
