Pensacola, FL – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 8, 2025 – The Arkansas State University basketball teams prepare to tipoff play in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament today.
The fourth-seeded Red Wolf men’s basketball team (22-9) takes on fifth-seeded Marshall (20-12) today at 5:30pm. Marshall won their quarterfinal game against Georgia State Friday night 79-76. Marshall won the only meeting between the two schools this year 77-72 in Huntington.
The No. 2 seeded A-State women’s basketball team (19-10) play Sunday, at 2:00pm against Troy (20-12). Troy defeated Marshall 85-54 in their quarterfinal game Saturday.
The A-State men flew from Jonesboro to Pensacola Thursday. The women made the trip Friday A-State spirit squads and Howlers band also traveled Friday.
A-State fans gathered at the Red Wolf team hotel (Fairfield Pensacola Beach) this afternoon for a pep rally and send off.
Tournament games Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.
