Marked Tree, AR — (Contributed) — March 5, 2025 — NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University will lead a free vaccine clinic at Marked Tree Public Schools on Thursday, March 6.
The event is being delivered through NYITCOM’s Delta Population Health Institute (DPHI), which regularly hosts health outreach and health education events throughout the region.
Marked Tree does not currently have a practicing physician in its community, but NYITCOM and the DPHI are taking the vaccines to schools to give students access to them. About 40 Marked Tree students have signed up to receive vaccines, and NYITCOM medical students will assist in administering them.
NYITCOM’s teams will be at Marked Tree Elementary School from 9 a.m. until approximately 10:30 and will then move to Marked Tree High School from 11 a.m. until around noon. The event is not open to the public, only to students who have signed up.
