Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Feb. 14, 2025 – A Jonesboro man accused of beating and threatening to kill a family member was given a $100,000 bond on Friday.

The Jonesboro Police Department received a call about a man, over the age of 70, being abused by 27-year-old Joshua Bowen.

When police arrived at the scene, they spoke with the victim who said Bowen recently threatened to kill him. Bowen would lose his temper and strike the victim in the back of the head on multiple occasions, the probable cause affidavit said.

JPD arrested Bowen on Feb. 10.  He was charged with one count of second degree domestic battery, a Class B felony, and one count of first degree terroristic threatening, a Class D felony.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and was observed to have three fractured ribs “due to abuse,” according to the affidavit.

His bond was set at $100,00 cash or surety. Bowen’s next court date is March 20.
