Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 22, 2025 – A Jonesboro man is accused of punching an 8-month pregnant woman.

On Jan. 19 at 9:25 p.m., Jonesboro police officers were sent to a home on Phillips Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, officers made contact with the victim and 61-year-old Christopher George.

According to the affidavit, George punched the victim in the stomach with a closed fist. The victim also told officers she got away after she was hit, but George pulled a knife on her shortly after, threatening to “cut her.”

Officers observed a “fresh, red mark,” on the right side of the victim’s stomach. She was transported by emergency medical services due to pain in her stomach area.

George is charged with one count of 3rd degree domestic battery against a pregnant woman, a Class D felony. It carries a fine of up to $10,000 and/or six years in prison.

He was given a $50,000 cash or surety bond. His next court date is set for Feb. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
