Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 13, 2025 – Game two matchups for the MAC-SBC Challenge were unveiled jointly by the Mid-American and Sun Belt Conferences on Monday, with all games being held Feb. 8.

Arkansas State men’s basketball (12-5) will travel to Kent State (11-4), with tip-off against the Golden Flashes set for 1 p.m. CT, while the women’s squad (8-7) hosts Bowling Green (7-8) at 2 p.m. inside First National Bank Arena.

The slate of games features 12 SBC women’s basketball programs hosting 12 MAC teams, with 12 men’s teams visiting MAC opponents. Matchups were selected based on current NET rankings, projected season finish and previous cross-conference contests.

A-State has faced Kent State three times in men’s basketball action, going 1-2 in the all-time series with the most recent meeting being a 73-69 home win by the Golden Flashes. Meanwhile, the Red Wolves will meet Bowling Green for the first time in program history.

In season-opening matchups, A-State’s men earned an 80-75 overtime win at home over Akron while the women’s team dropped a 61-52 decision at Western Michigan.

The MAC-SBC Challenge began in the 2023-24 season and was extended through the 2026-27 season on Nov. 4, 2024.
