Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 2, 2025 – A Michigan man accused of sexually assaulting a child was given a $75,000 cash-only bond on Friday, Dec. 27.

On Dec. 11, the victim told Jonesboro police that their cousin, 25-year-old Daviyon Gordon, of Warren, Michigan, had sexually assaulted them. The victim is under 13 years of age.

During an interview with officers, the victim said Gordon forced their hand onto his private parts. According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim tried to pull their hand away, but Gordon “held it on to his privates.”

“The victim then stated that Gordon tried to force [their] head onto his privates, but [they] pulled away,” the probable cause affidavit said.

Officers spoke with the victim’s mother, who said she confronted Gordon about the incident and that he “confessed to having [the victim] ‘jerk him off.'”

Gordon is charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault. He was given a bond of $75,000 cash only and a court date of Feb. 28 at 8:30 a.m. If he makes bond, he is ordered to have no contact with the victim, witnesses, or any girl under 18.

He is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
