Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 17, 2024 – Jonesboro police responded to a domestic disturbance Sunday on Roseclair Street.
A female victim, who’s nine months pregnant, told officers that she and 23-year-old Zion Jackson, of Forrest City, had been arguing. She went to the store in an attempt to let things settle down.
When she got back, the arguing continued, with Jackson making claims that the baby was not his. Jackson reportedly started pulling things she’d bought for the baby out of a closet and throwing them on the ground.
As the victim was trying to get him to stop, Jackson reportedly attacked her and began dragging her around the residence by her shirt and arms. After she was able to get free, she forced Jackson out of the apartment. During the struggle, he allegedly pulled hair from her head and threw it on top of the roof.
The woman had scratches, bruises, and welts on her arm from where Jackson was dragging her through the apartment.
He’s been charged with domestic battery against a pregnant woman and given a bond of $30,000 cash or surety. His court date is Jan. 24 at 8:30 a.m. According to the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson bonded out on Dec. 16 at 8:35 p.m.
