Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 12, 2024 – Crews responded to multiple structure fires across Jonesboro.
Jonesboro 911 Dispatch reported a fire at the 200 block of Nisbett Street at 9:18 a.m. At 9:31 a.m., it reported another structure fire at the 2700 block of S. Culberhouse St.
People are asked to avoid the areas and watch for emergency responders.
According to a lead firefighter at Nesbitt fire, there were two residents in the home at the time of the fire, however, there were no injuries. The fire, which possibly started in the kitchen area, had spread to the attic causing a lot of interior damage. The fire marshal is still investigating the cause of the fire.
The S. Culberhouse fire was the result of a chimney fire. Jonesboro Fire Chief Martin Hamrick said crews had contained it. No injuries were reported.
