Billie Gene Richmond, a man of adventurous spirit and selfless heart, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on February 3, 1957, in Paragould, Arkansas, Billie’s life was a testament to the enduring qualities of kindness and a zest for life that touched all who knew him. He departed this world in Jonesboro, Arkansas, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Billie was employed by Tenneco for many years. His commitment to his community was evident from his teenage years when he volunteered with Civil Defense.

An avid fisherman, Billie found peace and joy in the simple pleasure of casting a line into the water. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the tranquility it offered.

Billie grew up in a large family and was predeceased by his parents, Freddie and Opal Riley Richmond, his sister Sue Carolyn, his brother Tom, and his half-siblings Jay, Freddie, Louise, Lucille, and Geraldine. Despite the loss of many close to him, Billie’s resilient spirit shone through in the love he shared with his surviving family members. He leaves behind his stepson, Nick Austin, his brother Jim Richmond and his wife, and his three nieces and two nephews.

A private burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
