Amanda Kathleen Betts departed this life Sunday, December 8, 2024. She was 48 years old and passed at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis ,TN.
Amanda was born October 4, 1976, to Milton Wright Hatcher and Deborah Ann McEntire.
Amanda earned her Master’s in Communication Disorders from Arkansas State University. She was a Speech Language Pathologist. She loved to travel, especially to Clearwater Beach, FL. She also loved spending time with her husband and four children, whom she loved dearly. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing in the choir at her church, and also loved to play the piano. She was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School.
Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Milton Hatcher, her stepfather, Donald “ Sonny” McEntire, grandparents, Wright and Jessamine Hatcher , Fred and Joy Merritt, and her mother- in- law, Barbara Betts.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Dr Paul Betts Jr., a daughter, Bristol Betts, three son’s, Paul Betts III, Parker Betts, Peyton Betts, all of the home, her mother, Deborah McEntire, of Walnut Ridge, a sister, Lindsey (Blake) Romine of Hoxie, a half brother, Will (Lacey) Hatcher of Springfield, MO, two step sisters, Rhonda (Scott) Fowler of Clover Bend, Tonda Brand of Walnut Ridge, her father-in-law, Paul Betts Sr. of Vanndale, and her brother-in-law, Timothy Betts of Vanndale, Arkansas . She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Ben Foley, Taylor Howard, Jason Luster, Kenny Wright, Paul Betts III, Parker Betts, Peyton Betts and Paul Betts Sr.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12th at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Derek Collins officiating. A private burial will follow at the Betts Family Cemetery near Hickory Ridge.
Family is asking for memorials to be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
