Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 10, 2024 – A Jonesboro girls’ basketball coach was arrested after a fight at a Blytheville game, police said.

Indoneshia Renea Haynes, 36, coach of the Annie Camp Junior High School girls’ basketball team, was booked at the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office at 8:31 p.m. Dec. 9. She’s been charged with third-degree battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

She is being held on a $1,205 bond, with her first court appearance scheduled for today at 9 a.m.

Dr. Kim Wilbanks, superintendent of Jonesboro Public Schools, issued a statement following the coach’s arrest:

“The district is aware of the arrest of the Junior High girls’ basketball coach following the Blytheville game last night. We take all allegations of inappropriate conduct with the utmost seriousness and will conduct a thorough investigation. In compliance with employee protections under Arkansas law, the district is unable to provide further comments at this time. JPS is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and trust for all employees at all times.”
