Betty Lois McMillin, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, in Rector, Arkansas, at the age of 86. Born on January 28, 1938, in Hornersville, Missouri, to the late Charlie and Icie (Banks) Ray, Betty grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. She was the cherished wife of Jimmy McMillin and a nurturing mother to her sons, Dennis and his wife Sheila, and Randy and his wife Crystal.

Betty’s life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. Her grandchildren, Bradley, Jacob, Carter, Reece, and Sierra, were the light of her life, and she embraced every moment spent with them. Her laughter and joy were infectious, and she had a knack for making everyone around her smile with her good humor and spirited jokes.

A devoted homemaker, Betty poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones. She was a steadfast member of the Church of Christ in Oak Grove, where she attended services and participated in community activities until she was no longer physically able. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength throughout her years.

Betty’s interests were simple yet profound. She found great joy in tending to her garden, where she cultivated not only flowers and vegetables but also a sense of peace and contentment. Her hands, always busy, were a reflection of her dedication to the things she loved most.

Betty was predeceased by her brothers Loyd, Shelby, and James Ray, and her sisters Ovina Ray and Charlene Reynolds. She is survived by her sister Shirley Meade, who will miss her dearly, along with the rest of her family and many friends.

As we bid farewell to Betty Lois McMillin, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that has undoubtedly found its place in heaven. Her spirit, eternally youthful and vibrant, will continue to inspire us to live with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
