Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Nov. 25, 2024 – The monthly Neighborhood Cleanup has been scheduled for Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The city will be collecting items, with the addition of glass, at Fox Meadow Elementary School located at 2305 Fox Meadow Lane. Glass must be separated from all other items to be dropped off. City staff will be on-site to help unload items into dumpsters.

Only those who live in city limits can drop off items. Click here to check if you live in the city limits. The city limit is outlined in green.

The city will accept the following glass:

  • Any color bottle
  • Glass food containers (such as pasta sauce jars, pickle jars, baby food, etc.)
  • Drinking glasses
  • Broken glass
  • Any glass in loose containers

Lids and labels can be left on containers. Glass cannot be tied up in plastic bags. The cleanup will not accept building window or automotive windshield glass.

In addition to glass, the city will accept the following items:

  • Clothes
  • Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
  • Basketball goals
  • Furniture
  • Appliances (freon and/or compressors must be removed)
  • Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, remove lids, residue must be dry)

The following items will not be accepted:

  • Yard waste/limbs
  • Tractor/semi tires
  • Hazmat materials (oils, fluids, batteries, flammables, corrosive materials, automotive parts, motors, transmissions)
  • Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces will be accepted, however)

As of Nov. 23, the city has collected 100.39 tons of trash and 820 tires in 2024.
