Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Nov. 19, 2024 – Former Jonesboro mayoral candidate Jeremy Terrell has endorsed L.J. Bryant for mayor.
On his official campaign Facebook on Tuesday, Terrell said he thought both Bryant and incumbent mayor Harold Copenhaver were good people and cared about Jonesboro, but that citizens should ask themselves if they thought the mayor was doing a “good job” in maintaining public safety.
He added that he valued government transparency and that he felt the government hadn’t been transparent with its spending.
In addition, he said he often felt that certain people in politics could “get just about anything they want,” while others had to “jump through hoops” to accomplish certain goals. He called for levelling the political playing field, as he currently felt it was unfair.
“I don’t believe the current mayor has done a great job on these things and I believe when we vote these people in, we expect them to do a great job,” Terrell said. “The question to myself is ‘Has the current mayor done a good enough job to have another four years or do we need to move on?’ My answer to that is I think we need to move on.”
“LJ Bryant make us proud to have you as our mayor. Take that position with the heart to serve as it was meant to be,” Terrell added.
