Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Nov. 15, 2024 – Multiple people, including a man convicted of murder in 2003, were found with drugs and firearms in their apartments in Jonesboro.
On Nov. 12, agents with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force were conducting surveillance near the Garden Manor apartment complex on Church Street in reference to alleged narcotics sales. Agents were told that 40-year-old Isiah Reign and his 31-year-old girlfriend were selling drugs out of their apartment.
An agent with the task force knocked on the front door, during which he noticed Reign at the top of the stairs, holding a brown object. Reign reportedly ducked behind the wall and reappeared with nothing in his hands and walked down the stairs.
Agents cleared the rest of the apartment, during which they came in contact with 35-year-old Alan Oliver in his bedroom, who is on S.I.S with a search waiver on file. The agent conducted a search of Oliver’s room, in which they found a loaded pistol in the closet next to a white bag. Inside the bag, agents found 1,539 grams of marijuana, a baggie with 69 grams of mushrooms, 18 THC vapes and one pack of edibles.
Behind Oliver’s bed, the agent found a scale with marijuana residue and a baggie with six Hydrocodone pills.
Agents also searched Reign’s girlfriend’s room and found another loaded pistol, to which Reign said belonged to him. According to court documents, Reign has a second-degree murder conviction from 2003 out of St. Francis County under his alias, Joseph Mucherson.
Reign and Oliver were arrested that day.
On Nov. 13, agents received information that Reign was selling drugs out of another apartment. Agents were conducting surveillance at the Garden Manor apartment complex when they noticed Reign’s girlfriend leave an apartment with two large black duffle bags and take them to another apartment.
After agents made contact with her, she said she’d received a phone call and that she was to move the bags out of Reign’s apartment. She added that she didn’t know what was in the bags, but she would show the agents what was inside.
Officers found a “large amount of THC edibles as well as THC vape pens and loose marijuana,” inside the bags, according to the probable cause affidavit.
After obtaining a search warrant for her apartment, agents found more THC edibles, along with ammunition for multiple types of guns. Agents also found a loaded revolver.
In total, agents found 350 grams of marijuana, 122 packs of THC edibles and 11 THC vape pens in the apartment. Reign’s girlfriend was arrested that day.
