Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – October 23, 2024 – A Southridge Volunteer Fire Department truck overturned this morning trapping firemen inside.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the truck overturned. Witnesses said firemen were trapped inside and initially first responders asked for a helicopter ambulance to be on standby. A short time later witnesses said the firemen were freed. The extent of their injuries and the number of occupants is unknown.
The incident occurred on Highway 163 South near the intersection with County Road 460.
Arkansas State Police troopers and initial emergency responders were enroute at last report.
