Norma Allene Sharp, 98, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Jonesboro.
She was born on September 18, 1925 in Monette to Claude and Mabel Blankenship. She married Roy Elam Sharp on March 4, 1944 and they were blessed with three children, Debra, Steven and Gary Sharp.
She taught in the public school systems in Missouri and Arkansas for forty-one years. She was a dedicated Christian and a faithful long-term member of the Monette Church of Christ whose members were a great sense of comfort and support. She loved to read and was a great fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Arkansas Razorbacks basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Elam Sharp and her daughter, Debra.
She is survived by her two sons, Steven Sharp of St. Louis, MO and Gary Sharp (Holly) of Franklin, TN; three grandsons, Hunter, Austin (Hannah) and Garrett Sharp and her brother, Randel Blankenship of East Prairie, MO.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Monette Church of Christ with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Josh Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at the Monette Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
Memorials may be given to the Monette Church of Christ or Children’s Home, Inc. in Paragould or the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
