Sadie Belle Bryant Gipson, 91, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024. She was born
September 25, 1933 in Jonesboro to the late William Robert and Bernice Carter Bryant.
She was a graduate of Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State University.
She married her high school sweetheart, Leroy Gipson on February 14, 1953 and
enjoyed almost sixty-six years together.
She enjoyed raising her children along with being a house wife. Her hobbies were
embroidery, sewing, word puzzles, tape recordings of TV shows and special news spots
of Elvis Presley and the British Royal family. She was an avid collector of Elvis Presley
memorabilia and spent many years documenting his life and work through picture
albums and notebook writings.
She is survived by her children, Robert Gipson (Theresa) of St. Peters, Missouri,
William Gipson (Casey) of Pomerano Beach, Florida, and Carolyn Crawford (Steven) of
Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Leroy Gipson, brother, William H. Bryant,
and daughter, Debbie L. Gipson.
The visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at
Gregg-Lanford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of her life will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Gregg-Langford
Bookout Funeral Chapel with Gary Gipson and Ken Gipson officiating. Interment will
follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
