Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 9, 2024 – A man who fled from officers was found with drugs on Tuesday.

Jonesboro police observed 35-year-old Anthony Rispoli, who was wearing a backpack, bike past a police car and noticeably speed up. Officers attempted to contact him, but he reportedly continued fleeing.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Rispoli turned on E. Woodrow St. toward a large ditch. He leaped off his bike and ran into the ditch. Upon exiting, he no longer had his backpack.

Officers then apprehended Rispoli. A K9 searched the bag, finding 3.4 grams of suspected meth, a glass pipe and a digital scale with residue and two used syringes.

Listed charges are delivery of meth or cocaine greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams, three counts of delivery of meth or cocaine greater than two grams but less than 10 grams, use of a communication device, possession of drug paraphernalia and fleeing.

He was given a court date of Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m. and a bond of $200,000 c/s
