Jonesboro, AR (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 10, 2024 – Volunteers with Turnrow Ministry will be parking empty trailers at three different locations to collect donations for Georgia residents affected by Hurricane Helene.

With more than 200 people killed or missing and thousands of homes destroyed across the southeastern United States, the massive Category 4 hurricane has become one of the most devastating mainland hurricanes since Katrina in 2005.

This is why Cliff Carter with Turnrow Ministry said they will be filling three trucks Oct. 19 at the following locations:

  • Emmanuel Cowboy Church, 8471 Highway 49 N in Brookland
  • Harvest Baptist Church, 4100 Linwood Dr. in Paragould
  • Marmaduke First Baptist Church, 304 N 1st St. in Marmaduke

“We will park the trucks at 8 a.m. and leave them there until they are full,” Carter said.

The group will be leaving Oct. 25 for Pinehurst, GA, where they will be delivering the supplies to a group called Jesus Way Helping Hands After Hurricane Helene, comprised of a group of churches in the area.

As a member of Turnrow Ministry, which is composed of a lot of farm families, Carter said he has a lot of farming friends in Georgia, who gave him the specifics of what the people need. These supplies include non-perishable foods; small appliances, such as microwaves, air fryers or anything to cook a quick meal; and baby items like baby formula and diapers.

“We have partnered with some amazing and Godly friends who live there and are facilitating our efforts. They are getting it to where it is needed the most,” he said. “Food is the biggest need and concern right now,” he said. “Their pantries are running low and with the influx of more evacuees from Hurricane Milton, they are in danger of running out.”

If you would like to make monetary donations, contact Cliff Carter at 870-215-5751. All checks should be made out to the Marmaduke Baptist Church and earmarked for Turnrow Ministry. All donations will go to the relief trip.
