Mark Hughes, 81, passed away October 1, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro. Mark was born to Earl and Pearline Pillow Hughes, in Walcott, AR. Mark was formerly of Monette, AR., and of the Baptist belief, he retired from the E.C. Barton and Company, he also was an ASA Umpire in Chief for District 1and a Umpire in Chief for the Jonesboro Softball Association. He is a retired Volunteer Fireman for the Monette Fire Dept. and 32nd Degree Mason and attended the Monette Masonic Lodge #558.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy (Willis) Lambert of Leachville, AR., and Marka Steflik of Jonesboro, AR., two grandchildren Rebecka (Cord) Hatcher and Scott Brown, one great granddaughter Finley Hatcher. Mark is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Hughes and son in law Joe Steflik.

Pallbearers, Billy Bowen, Scott Bowen, Willis Lambert, Brandon Mckuin, Aaron Uthoff and Richie Pace with The Monette Volunteer Fire Dept as Honorary Pallbearers.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 10 A.M. following at 11 A.M. will be the Service in the chapel with Bro. Eddie Hawkins and Bro. Harold McMicle officiating. Burial will be at The Greene Co. Memorial Gardens in Paragould, AR.
