Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 27, 2024 – Halloween is around the corner, which means it is time for chilling haunted attractions full of frightening ghouls and heart-stopping scares. For fans of gruesome spectacles, here is a list of some spine-tingling Northeast Arkansas haunts.

Terror Ridge Screampark and Scared City Haunted House are a couple of local favorites with a variety of terrifying attractions from horrifying shows to spooky vendors. Shows will be on Fridays and Saturdays throughout October at 7060 Hwy 228 in Bono, near Sedgwick, just behind Jonesboro Auto Auction on Hwy 63.

Tickets are on sale from 7-11:30 p.m. and shows start at 7:30 p.m. These chilling spectacles feature life-like gore and skin-crawling scares. Chill Factor is a chilling attraction with different haunts, such as the Chill Factor Haunted House and the Carnival of Carnage. This family-friendly attraction will be open Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 4-5, 10-13, 17-20, 24-27 and 29-31 located at 115 E. Main St. in downtown Trumann.

The lobby is open from 7-11 p.m. Tickets can be bought separately for each show or as a combo pass. Kids under 6 get in free. The 8200 sq. ft. building features different spooky-themed rooms and mazes with trap doors, elaborately placed animatronics, lights, fog, and intricate haunted house trickery. Horror in the Hollow is a haunted attraction by Pumpkin Hollow with multiple haunts, such as the Forest of Fright, Amity Asylum, Bubba’s Butcher Barn and Grimm’s Ghoul Bus. It will be open the following nights this season: Sept. 27-28; Oct. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26; and Nov. 1-2 at Pumpkin Hollow, located at 610 County Road 336 in Piggott. Ticket sales begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Hauntings start at approximately 7 p.m. Other attractions include the zip-line, putt-putt, and the apple cannon.

Pumpkin Hollow also features some slightly less terrifying daytime attractions from Sept.21 – Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. on Sundays (last daytime tickets sold at 5 p.m.). These events for kids of all ages include the Pumpkin Hollow Zipline, the Country Bumpkin Playground, corn mazes, the Pumpkin Hollow Hayride, the mega slide, pony rides, train rides and so much more. ExoFear Haunted House opens Oct. 4 and will be open on weekends throughout October. It is located at 203 W. South St. in Harrisburg, behind the community center building. Formerly an exhibition of Fear Haunted Attraction at the Poinsett County Fairgrounds, this spooky attraction will be a terrifyingly fun time for everyone. Water Valley Haunted House and Hayride, hosted by the Water Valley Fire Department, will be Oct. 19 at 855 Water Valley Rd. in Imboden. This frighteningly fun event will feature a spooky haunted house, haunted hayride, kids’ games and a concession stand. BOO in the ‘BORO, hosted by the Mayor’s Youth Advancement Council of Jonesboro, is an annual Halloween event that will be Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m., in Downtown Jonesboro. It will be a safe, free, and fun “trunk or treat” event for the entire community. This event will feature tons of candy, games, entertainment, a photo booth, face painting, and much more for kids of all ages. The entire Jonesboro community is welcome and there will be activities planned for all age groups. This event will take place at Union Park, 405 Union Ave. in Jonesboro. The 5th Annual Slings and Sticks, hosted by Forest Home Church of the Nazarene, will be Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at 2403 Ritter Dr. in Jonesboro. This free event will feature a trunk or treat, zip-line, pumpkin chunkin’, laser tag, carnival games, chili, bonfire, and much more. JPD Trunk or Treat, hosted by the Jonesboro Police Department, will be October 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the corner of Mathews and Union in Jonesboro. This free public event features fun, food, candy, toys, games, music, dancing and a howlin’ good time for all the little ghouls. They will also have contests and prizes for best costume and more.

Donations of individually wrapped candy or small toys, can be made at the Jonesboro Police Department at 1001 S Caraway Rd. or the Jonesboro Fire Department at 3215 E. Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro.
