Kama Leann Gibson, 34, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2024, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Kama lived the first part of her life in Caraway and moved to the Jonesboro area in 1999, where she
attended Nettleton School- Class of 2009. She was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church and
worked at Kroger for 10 years. She was born to Suzy Jones and Doug Strickland.
She was proceeded in death by 2 daughters, Aubree and Kyleigh Dutton; Aunt, Becky Emmons; Uncle, Mark Killough; Grandpaw, Doug Strickland and Joe Killough.
She was survived by 2 daughters, Maddie and Bella Gibson; 2 sons, Xander Barker and Peyton
Gibson; Mother, Suzy Jones (Mark Haines); Father, Doug Strickland (Jennifer); 4 sisters, Alyssa
Jones, Holli Strickland, Katie Simpson, and Zoie Couch; 2 brothers, Taylor Strickland (Kelsey) and
Garrett Chandler; grandmother, Sharon George; 3 aunts, Jennifer Pugh, Dana Colton, Jessica
Strickland; 6 Nieces, Staley, Hartley, Hazel, Hadi, Willow and Adria; 2 nephews, Colton and Garrison; cousins,
Samantha, Megan and Phillip; and her “Bill Bill” Billy Pendergrass.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. MichaelĀ Bradley officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Caraway Cemetery Under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Roger Williams, Mark Haines, Tim Lewis, Chris Jarrett, Travis Dutton, Adam Jones, Garrett Chandler, and Taylor Strickland.
