Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 9, 2024 – Multiple law enforcement officers were working off-duty security at the Midnight Rodeo on Saturday night.

An employee at the club told officers that if 19-year-old Phillip Johnson returned to the club he needed to be told to leave and shouldn’t be allowed to re-enter the business.

Johnson reportedly approached officers and began cursing at them loudly. According to the probable cause affidavit, he was saying things such as “You’re not sh*t without your badge,” and “If I catch you on the street without your badge, you won’t make it home to see your family.”

Johnson was advised to leave the premises multiple times but refused. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Craighead County Detention Center.

Once at CCDC, Johnson began threatening other officers saying “Imma kill you” repeatedly, and “When I get out of this b*tch, I’m going to find you, your wives, your daughters, your sons, and I’m going to kill all of them. On blood, Imma kill all of you b*tches and your families, on blood.”

Johnson was charged with terroristic threatening in the 1st degree, interference with law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespassing.

He was given a bond of $35,000 c/s and a court date of October 28.
