Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 9, 2024 – Jonesboro Police were called to a home on French St in Jonesboro around midnight on Saturday in relation to a reported shooting.

The report states that the suspects fired multiple firearms into a residence, causing damage to the property as well as two vehicles on the premises.

Officers found several different calibers of shell casings in the street, reportedly indicating that there were multiple shooters.

The victim stated to officers that she was sitting on the couch when the shots rang out. She reportedly got her children to safety and then she ran outside to see 20-year-old Jalen McCullough’s car speeding away. The victim stated that McCullough’s gold car was missing a front bumper and told officers there were multiple people in the car.

Other officers were at a call at Cedar Manor when the “shots fired” call came out. While on that call, they saw McCullough’s car pull into the complex and let several people out. McCullough’s car then backed into a parking spot.

Officers contacted McCullough and the juveniles in the parking lot and began talking to them about the shooting that had just occurred. Officers could see while talking to McCullough that there were shell casings inside the car.

A K9 officer ran his partner on the car and got a positive alert. Officers searched the car and did find several different caliber shell casings in the car that matched the calibers on French St. Another officer located a Glock pistol that was hidden in some bushes where the occupants of the car had been let out.

McCullough and the two juveniles were transported to the police department to be interviewed.

McCullough was arrested and transported to CCDC. He went before Judge Boling on Monday for a probable cause hearing and was given a bond of $75,000 c/s.

His next court date is October 28.
