Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 6, 2024 – 28-year-old Keon Smith was arrested this week and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.
During his probable cause hearing on Friday, Judge Fowler expressed that Smith could be facing charges for over 11,000 separate counts of CSAM.
The PC affidavit states that local authorities received several cybertips from the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Division that a specific email address and IP address were used to upload images depicting child sexual abuse material.
After a search of the residence, a computer and jump drive were seized and found to contain over 11,000 image and video files relating to child sexual abuse.
Smith was identified as the owner of the email address, IP address, phone number, and physical address related to the crimes. He was arrested on Thursday and transported to CCDC.
During his probable cause hearing, he was given a $125,000 c/s bond with condition of no access to the internet including cell phones, smart tv, computer, tablet, gaming console, and more.
His next court date is October 28.
