Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 11, 2024 – The lineup is ready and preparations are underway for the Foundation of Arts’ (FOA) Local Fest 5.
This annual music festival is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on September 13 and continuing until 11:30 p.m. on September 14 in Downtown Jonesboro, where it will showcase many Northeast Arkansas artists, musicians, artisans, businesses, comedians, and more.
According to the Foundation of Arts Music website, the event is intended to support everything locally while inspiring, motivating, and bringing the community together.
Its goal is to create an atmosphere that brings people together to share ideas, strengthen and grow the local economy, and enhance the livelihood of all the members of NEA and surrounding areas.
The festival coincides with the FOA Music’s mission, which is to support and showcase all of the local talents that the greater NEA area has to offer as it strives to provide musicians with the opportunities and resources to develop their music and share it with their community.
There is a full lineup of live music again this year with several outstanding artists, such as Lucas Tyler, Zach Childers, Craig Estes, James Carvell, Jonathan McQuay, Striding the Blast, Joe Bateman, Zaden J, Lloyd Moon, J-Ray, Cason Storey, Erin Walters, Nathan Yauger, The Storyline, The Last Monarchs of Fall, Brandy Lee, Just Jeff (Jeff McDonald), Clayton Herndon, Electric Voodoo Explosion, and many, many more.
There will be plenty of options for where to watch, with 10 different stages located throughout the downtown area including the Main Street Stage, Union Park, Barton’s Huntington Square, Skinny J’s, The Recovery Room, Parsonage, the Brickhouse Grill Stage and its upstairs stage, the Delta Trailers Stage and of course the FOA’s Stage, Too.
There will also be Stand Up Comedy Showcases, presented by The Recovery Room and NEA Comedians, starting at 7 p.m. on both nights at The Recovery Room with acts including Allison McArthur, JJ Molinaro, Bryce Moore, Jared Sturgill, Nat Rhodes, and Tootie Two Times on Friday Night; and Ryan Bush, Kyle Kordsmeier, Ryan Quearry, Jowa Horn and Jana Whiteside.
Spectators can also enjoy Local Fest Chaos with AWA Wrestling at 6 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Rotary Centennial Plaza.
Other fun activities include a carnival, open mics, vendors, food and drink, Golf cart chauffeurs, shopping and more. Plus, the official Brickhouse after party will be from 10 p.m. to 2 p.m. both days.
