Jonesboro, AR (JonesboroRightNow.com) – August 30, 2024 – Westside Elementary students got an electrifying experience on Thursday as Entergy Arkansas employees with their bucket trucks raised high in the air welcomed students to school and wished them a great year at the Westside Elementary School in Jonesboro.

According to a post on the Entergy Arkansas Facebook page, Entergy Arkansas volunteers from the northeast region finished out their “welcome week” by greeting students at Westside.

“Our employees gave the teachers the morning off from car duty AND some sweet treats for breakfast,” the post stated.

According to an Entergy Arkansas press release on Tuesday, several Entergy Arkansas line workers and other employees from the community met students for the 2024-25 school year in several school districts, including Newport Elementary School and Weiner Elementary School on Wednesday.

Entergy Arkansas provides electricity to approximately 730,000 customers in 63 counties.
