Larry Edgar Adams Jr., 75 of Paragould, Arkansas passed from this world on March 2, 2024 at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital. He was born to the late Earnest Parmore and Nellie Irene (Cook) Adams in Paragould. There are times in our lives that we hear the words “True American Hero” and Larry Adams Jr. would be considered as one of those Americans. He served his country with love and honor in the job that he was chosen to do. He served in the Vietnam War and later retired from the Army as a 1st Sgt. When he chose to relax and enjoy life, he was often found at the Race Track cheering various Dragster cars on or he was out in the woods just enjoying the sunshine with either a fishing pole or gun in his hands. He was a true professional musician who shared his love of music with his family and friends with his ability to play any instrument that had a keyboard or strings.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: James Adams, Eugene Adams, Louis Adams, Wanda Whitworth and Carolyn Hillhouse.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Betty (Cook) Adams, a son: Larry E Adams Jr., daughters: Ramona L Forester and Cliff, Jennifer J Adams, Tammy L Crigler and Keith, grandchildren: Brandon Wallace, Jabbar Anderson, Mikhaele Crigler and Scottie Crigler, great-grandchildren: Gionni Wallace, Branae Wallace, Venus Brown and Rollin Brown, his dog and faithful companion: Teddy Bear along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with the service
beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
