Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 21, 2024 – Deputies responded to an address on County Road 468 on Tuesday night in regard to a physical altercation.

Upon arrival, they spoke with the pregnant victim who advised that she had been cleaning their home when Maxwell Clements took an empty liquor bottle and began hitting her in the head with it. He also reportedly hit her multiple times in the face and body.

The victim began screaming for him to stop. She was able to get away, but Clements kicked her in the back as she was headed down the stairs.

She got away again and ran to her car and locked the door. Clements then punched her side mirror and broke it before she was able to drive away.

Deputies located Clements at the residence where he was arrested for domestic battery involving a pregnant woman.

During his PC hearing, Judge Boling noted that he had prior convictions in 2020 including aggravated assault and domestic violence.

He was given a $150,000 c/s bond and requirement of a GPS ankle monitor along with no access to firearms or ammunition.
